Have any of you stayed in Encinitas and where? It's been 10 years since I lived in SD so update me with any new knowledge. I'd like to be close the beach as possible for some what we call surfing. I appreciate the advice mates.

Was there in October. Stayed in the house right next to parking lot of Beacons. House overlooked the break. Several little peaks to surf. Pretty mellow. House was vrbo on Neptune drive.
Got some great friends in La Jolla that I stay at (20 miles north of Encinitas.) They love Texas surfers. Lemme know if youre interested.
Do not miss out on Pizza Port. Bring some quarters! You're lucky I'm not out there, or if have have to school ya at some pinball. ; )

I always stay in Carlsbad but there is Econo Lodge Encinitas Moonlight Beach---or Leucadia Beach Inn that are around Beacon's Beach
