any body ever surf by the bridge on the surfside/freeport side?
i was heading back from surfside to galveston earlier and saw some small 2 foot lines coming through, looked somewhat surfable.
might be a decent spot on a big washed out day.

I would not surf there, the Rip is terrible, I think they passed an ordinance stating you could not get in the water on the Brazoria side, for wade fishing. It's very dangerous, many drownings, I have been in a boat coming in in that current, do not advise anyone to surf or swim, even wadefisher men , kids have drowned there.

I've seen ankle high peelers, maybe fun if you were stand up paddling or something.. but more of a novelty than anything, especially when everywhere else is ten times the size. DARKSTAR used to post about a mysto spot that I figured was around there... probably fiction.... haha

Before IKE there was a fishing pier on the Brazoria side of the bridge that looked like it could have potential. RIP!

Ive seen a midget left peeling on the Galveston side of the pass on an east wind. It's weak and your ass will get dragged out to sea when the tide changes. Lots of oyster beds too.

Same...I wouldn't go in there. Too many drownings. (and this isn't one of those try to keep people away from all the "secret" spots)

Sketchy place even for a surfer. Too much tidal movement and potential for drowning. I've never seen it working.
