What a thought, an over 60 division. Bronson take it to the board for review
Getting all my free surfing in this week. Had a great 4 hour sess today. But i dont like surfing gtown due to current and i am not a crowd surfer so surfing in gtown and fighting current and trying to get waves when all those young guns have better paddeling power than this 65 year old. It will be good just to surf with all for a change. I am looking at it as a get together and just try to have fun. I do like the atmosphere surrounding these contest these days. Such great people. Last time i surfed competition was 40 years ago.
Wish they had a 60 and over divison.
TGSA is a great organization and is very family oriented and a cool learning environment for all. I was on the TGSA Board for 5 years as well as competing for 6. We got involved because my daughter Rachel was 16 and wanted to compete. She won 2 state championships and surfed with both the Dobson ladies as well as Molly Ware and others. We got to go to the Nationals in Huntington Beach. We met so many Texas surfers up an down the Texas coast. I would recommend this experience to anyone and everyone. Go TGSA!

McGee your biggest competition would be Hopkins/ Sperry/ Shannon/ and Floyd and a few others that rip in that division. I know I faced those guys a lot during my 6 years in the TGSA. I was lucky enough to beat Shannon and Sperry once but never Floyd or Hopkins. These guys are super competitive and have been doing this for 40+ years. I will stick to be a free surfer. :) More time in the water.
