I was wondering if anyone has tried surfing any river mouth breaks in Texas, on google earth they look like they could break better than regular beach breaks. What do y'all think? Here's a satellite image of the San-Luis pass for example.

it is literally against the law to surf at san luis pass
The ultimate novelty’s in Galveston. I’m not gonna say where though

I think tanker surfing isn’t the ultimate novelty wave in Texas. There used to be the Surfside channel and the cove at Padre

99% of deaths there have been tourists that don’t know how to swim. I’ve wadefished there for 20 years. No problems. Except having occasional run in with sharks. Seriously doubt somebody with a surfboard could drown there. especially because there are no waves to surf there. ben gravy could find some “novelties “ to surf though I’m sure

Stick with jetty setups
do Not surf the pass
largest natural pass on the coast
way too much tidal movement
also lots of grey suits
way too many people have died there
