saw this morning, what a bummer! I still skate the jonathan romano skatepark regularly, so won't complain..
here is a picture of me ollieing a curb gap at the QV slab back in the day.. ha

yeah same thing happened in '86 behind the QV raquetball club...destructo...slabs come and go...just gotta pop it up somewhere else

It was one of the foundation slabs from a condominium complex that got destroyed from Ike. My good friend Heath Cherryhomes, and a few others, spearheaded the whole DIY spot there. They had the owner's permission to build and have it, while the property sat dormant. They all knew it would only be temporary though, as new owners and development might happen at some point. So, I assume that's what's going on. I know they're still bummed though, as I am. It was a great skate spot.
