@bob, for surfside i usually keep my fin towards the middle-front of the box. when the surf gets to the chest to head range ill scoot it back a bit, although, by then i will have likely switched to my short board.

Looks fun, I blew it. Too much work this week.....ugh

I caught three waves on sunday. I kinda blew it this week. I was bogged down with work. Hopefully the next swell is just as kick ass

actually just had a really fun session on the west end.. wind finally laid down, caught some leg burners on my log. finally dialed in my fin placement after 15 years of riding it.. right in the middle of the box! I have tried several fins but mostly all the way to the front of the box (single fin 9'6"). tried a smaller raked out fin further back previously, but I'll be damned if the default spot wasn't the best! haha

I surfed yesterday at Surfside. Paddle out at the curve. Caught 3 waves a few feet overhead on the drops. Ended up by A frames. Lots of juice, but also lots of current. Played in the shorebreak with my kids and even that was chest high. Pretty fun to surf those kind of waves even if they aren’t magazine quality photo wise.

Headed down to SS from Waller, 2 hour trip probably make it around 11am will give otb when I arrive.

surf could be good up n down the coast all day tomorrow..
