Went by to get some fins and it was empty in there. Hardly any boards etc.

I have been a customer of soundwaves for 20 plus years and I went there a few months back- a large surf shop 60 miles inland in texas combined with a record store doesnt seem to be an ideal match for the location in montrose. I think its a rich dude's hobby....and he could do it somewhere else ...smaller and cheaper....or sell his land to a developer for millions and just retire....also....ya know...the internet is killing that kind of business for sure

Spot on. Jeff owns the building and a few other properties in the area. He's done pretty well for himself in the last 20 years. We help him with his Website from time to time. He's got some great insight in real estate.
